The Chapter held the open day on Saturday the 29th at the Dominican Retreat Centre at Tallaght Dublin in Ireland. The event was attended by different representatives from various schools and ministries around Ireland. Br. Barry, the Congregational Leader, addressed the audience in the morning and shared the vision and mission of the Brothers. He also invited the participants to be inspired by Pope Francis and to be ‘bold and creative’ in their efforts to be authentic and attractive witnesses to the Gospel. Then, the young brothers shared their stories of life, mission and ministry in different contexts and cultures. They spoke about their joys and challenges, their hopes and dreams, and their commitment to Forming Christ in the young. The morning came to a close with the celebration of Holy Mass with Fr. Donagh O’Shea, a Dominican priest and a renowned spiritual writer. The Mass was followed by lunch and an opportunity for informal interaction and networking.
